Expansion

Sequencing beats speed.

Expansion fails less from moving slowly than from moving in the wrong order.

The parallel-entry fantasy

Three markets at once feels like ambition. In practice it is three half-entries: three thin teams, three diluted proof points, no market where you are anyone's obvious choice.

Order is a strategy. Speed is a mood.

What order buys you

Each market should fund and de-risk the next — with proof, a sharpened playbook, and people who have done it once. Sequence converts one win into a system for winning.

The discipline

Write the sequence down. Name what must be true before market two opens: revenue threshold, reference count, local hire in seat. If it is not written, speed will override it.
